Total Fitness Outlet has been selling commercial-grade gym equipment at wholesale outlet prices for over 25 years. Founded by a fitness industry veteran who saw a gap between what gyms pay for equipment and what individuals and small facilities can afford, we set up shop in Purcellville, Virginia — far enough from the DC retail corridor to keep overhead low, close enough to serve the entire DMV.
The concept is simple: commercial gym equipment is built to last 15-20 years. Hotels, corporate gyms, and health clubs replace their equipment every 5-7 years — not because it's worn out, but because they want the latest model. That means thousands of machines with decades of life left are available at a fraction of their original cost.
We buy that equipment in volume, test and refurbish it in our facility, and sell it directly to homeowners, personal trainers, churches, schools, apartment complexes, and anyone else who wants commercial-quality fitness equipment without the commercial-quality price tag.
How We Source Equipment
Hotel Renovations
When major hotel chains upgrade their fitness centers every 5-7 years, the old equipment — often barely used — needs a new home. We buy entire fitness center inventories at a fraction of the cost.
Gym Closures
When commercial gyms close or consolidate locations, we purchase their equipment in bulk. These machines were built for 10+ hours of daily use — they have decades of life left.
Corporate Trade-Ins
Companies upgrading their employee fitness centers trade in perfectly good equipment. Many corporate gyms see light use compared to commercial facilities.
Manufacturer Closeouts
When manufacturers discontinue a model line or overproduce, we buy the excess at wholesale pricing. Brand new machines, last year's model, fraction of the cost.
